The French manager indicated it could depend on the situation with Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner that sways his mind whether or not to bring a new forward to the Emirates during the transfer window. Bendtner has not played since October due to a groin problem and he is due to be examined on Friday amid fears that he may require a second operation. This would put him out for a prolonged period, and Wenger is already suffering without him and Dutch striker Robin van Persie – who he recently said could be out for the entire Premier League season. If the Dane is missing for longer, then Wenger will look to sign a new striker. Players such as Carlton Cole, Marouane Chamakh and Andre-Pierre Gignac have already been linked with moves to North London. "There is no way we can carry on with only one striker. The real test will be in the next two weeks with the projection on Bendtner," said Wenger. "If he is out for two months, there is no way we can cope. We will need someone, absolutely. We look anyway and if we find a good bargain, we will still do it." Arsenal's Premier League game against Bolton was postponed on Wednesday night due to snow, which leaves the club in third place in the table, four points behind leaders Chelsea but with a game in hand and they can be counted out of the Premier League Title betting just yet.
