No game will be easy for Chelsea in their drive to win the Premier League title, according to their boss.

Carlo Ancelotti has claimed there are no certainties for Chelsea and they need to perform at a high level to remain at the top of the tree, with victory over Portsmouth ensuring his side sit three points ahead of second-placed Manchester United.

The Italian boss has been unhappy with some of his side's performances so far this season and admitted he was angry at his players after their Champions League draw against APOEL Nicosia.

Sometimes it is necessary for a manager to show his frustration in order to spark his team into life, said the former AC Milan manager.

"No game is easy. We had the problem with Wigan, Aston Villa and Everton. Nothing is easy in this football," Ancelotti stated.

"English football is very competitive, every team has the possibility to create a difficulty if you don't have good concentration and motivation."

The Italian recently said that he was not looking to bring new faces to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window despite a number of players set to be missing for the African Nations Cup.

Ancelotti remains convinced that Chelsea possess a number of quality young players to fill the gaps and keep his side in a prime position to win the Premier League.
